If you like clubbing but hate queues, expensive drinks and pretentious people, then this is the place for you. The catch? Most of the clubbers are barely legal. And you’ll be forced to suffer the indignity of being frisked and passing through a metal detector. But the spacious dance floor and friendly vibe make up for these niggling annoyances, as does the infectious mix of hip hop, R&B, dance and Top 40 tunes. Exhibitionists flock to the elevated platform. Down below, dancers gaze at 72 TV screens, which flash funky patterns in time to the beat. Occasionally, a snowstorm of confetti rains on the dance floor parade. The raised VIP lounges provide the perfect vantage point from which to watch and be watched. Cover up to $15, free with student ID on Thursday.
