Created by the same team that brought us the former Little Italy hot spot Lava Lounge, this Kensington Market hangout has the same winning formula: food, drink and DJs. In particular, the large Asian menu draws hungry locals with its reasonably priced side dishes. If you want to eat, make a reservation around eight o’clock, before the atmosphere gets too clubby; if you want to dance, hang around until the late-night kids start showing up—usually about midnight. On weekends, the College Street crowd edges out the skater boys, mods and music heads who first colonized this cavernous bar. Great front patio. On some nights, be prepared to pay cover ($5); get on the guest list to bypass the cover (but not the line) on Friday before 11 p.m.
