Dubbed Seven Lounge on Friday nights, Runway 224 has a distinctly minimalist design that will leave you a little cold. But that doesn’t stop the masses (mostly bare-legged young girls wearing stilettos) from lining up at this quintessential Richmond Street club. The vaulted ceiling and mirrored walls add a touch of drama, while the glass staircase to the VIP area is a glam feature. Yet it’s the thumping soundtrack (dance, house and hip hop) and the enthusiastic crowd that create the vibe. If Runway feels remotely sinful, it’s because the party doesn’t get going until very late; the go-go dancers in cages add an edge of debauchery, as do the unisex bathrooms (if you’re striking out on the dance floor, try a pickup line outside a stall). Ask the bartender for the list of deadly martinis. Cover $15.
