Lula Lounge

Lula Lounge, one of the best small-scale music venues in the city, is a real gem. There’s a decent-sized dance floor, and a sophisticated mix of Latin and international music. Beyond the usual salsa, merengue and samba, the soundtrack incorporates an eclectic mix of Brazilian, African, jazz and cabaret. Outstanding live acts have included Café Cubano, John Cale and Norah Jones. Cover can reach $35 for special performances, though it’s usually closer to $15.
