With its big patios and nearby beach, this waterfront nightclub has a touch of Ibiza madness about it, from the big-name international DJs to the pumped-up crowd. A sea of hyperactive hoofers engulfs you the moment you step onto the dance floor. Monumental cover charges keep away the lightweights; this crowd is hard core, lured by famous jocks (Danny Tenaglia, Tiësto, the Crystal Method, Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Fatboy Slim). During all-ages events, there are long queues for alcoholic beverages, as about 80 per cent of the bars are devoted to soft drinks for the kids. For those of age, here’s hoping the girth of your wallet matches the depth of your thirst—drinks can be pricey (shots range from $5.50 to $9). Make sure to have a designated driver, as public transportation in this area is hard to come by. And call ahead—in winter, the venue is primarily devoted to private functions. Cover varies.
