Besides sharing a patio and owner with the Brant House, Cobra has little in common with the King West institution. The former West lounge is now a dark dungeon with an L.A. feel. Red-lit skulls line the entire back wall of the club, sitting above low-rise, bottle-service booths. The DJ booth dwarfs the tiny dance floor; patrons salute the house, electro and dance beats under a sparkly LED-lit ceiling. DJ acts like the Martinez Brothers draw crowds—as do guest appearances (and alleged punch-ups) by the likes of Perez Hilton, Lady Gaga and Girlicious.
