This retro beauty looks like a ’60s bachelor pad as redone by Wallpaper. With its zebrawood ceiling and flashy multicoloured floodlights, it could be Goldfinger’s grotto. Saddles and riding crops suggest both the building’s past as an RCMP stable and the sexy shape of things to come. The crowd is Bay Street aspirational and conspicuously attractive, with lots of blondes in heels and guys with BlackBerrys.
