The reigning champ of gay bars, Woody’s attracts everyone from young queers to battle-hardened veterans. Depending on your mood and level of anxiety, it’s either welcoming or impossibly stand-and-model. Popular nights are Thursday (the celebrated best-chest contest) and Sunday (for the drag show). On the weekend, the dinner-and-a-movie crowd pops in for a nightcap, and younger groups stop by for bevvies before heading out to dance. The deck is a good spot from which to watch the parade.
