Wild Indigo

Neither wild nor indigo, this unusual spot—with its wall of black beads, red fabric on the ceiling, red lighting under the bar and voluptuous artwork—resembles a cross between a Turkish den of iniquity and a wacky novelty bar. The atmosphere is best summed up by the Buddha Bar CDs—New Age meets world music meets electronica—played in the early evening. A crowd of odds, sods and even the occasional mod makes it a far less homogeneous spot than many neighbouring options.
