At last, there’s a bar for every 20-something guy who finds the Rivoli too swank and the Cameron House crowd too old. The name is presumably a joke, given that the room is extremely narrow. At the back, a couple of sofas create a mini-lounge, complete with guy-friendly reading material. With a rotating selection of local art gracing the walls, an eclectic music collection that bounces from Kenny Rogers to Pearl Jam, and a gritty atmosphere that used to be the trademark of Queen West, Wide Open is an anti-scene scene—a welcome alternative.
