Stepping through the giant red doors of Ultra (formerly Ultra Supper Club) into a narrow, lantern-lit, passageway open to the night sky, one can’t help but feel like a Survivor going to Tribal Council. Ultra tries hard to make an impression: its rooftop patio, swathed in white and blue, matches the tight dresses of its stunning bartenders and offers a great view, but patrons are too busy checking each other out to bother with the skyline. The mixed, relatively older crowd is surprisingly chilled out. The menu includes $20 lobster Mondays and $20 steak Thursdays; Tuesday nights get casual with barbecue and discount Red Stripe. In the dining room, tables are swept aside for late-night dancing.
