The Rushton

The guys at the bar talk to their wives via cellphone, and the regulars get their drink of choice with a nod. With its pressed-tin ceiling, eclectic furniture and ’50s-style textured stone walls, this boîte is a veritable melting pot of styles. The wine list features 18 by the glass ($7–$11.50), plus dozens more by the bottle, all sensibly organized by grape. Beer arrives in the usual bottles (Creemore and Canadian among them) or on tap, including Stella, KLB raspberry wheat and Guinness. The martini list is extensive; the newest concoction blends mint and guava with Grey Goose. A gleaming open kitchen offers satisfying bistro-style fare until 10:30 p.m. during the week, 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and every day in the summer.
