The guys at the bar talk to their wives via cellphone and the regulars get their drink of choice with a nod. With its pressed-tin ceiling, eclectic furniture and ’50s-style textured stone walls, this corner boîte is a veritable melting pot of styles, but it seems to work for the established, late-30s clientele, which settles in for beer, wine and cocktails. The wine list features 12 by the glass ($5–$11), plus dozens more by the bottle, all sensibly organized by grape. Beer arrives in the usual bottles (Creemore and Canadian among them) and in rather more interesting forms on tap, including Stella and McAuslan Apricot and Oatmeal Stout. The martini list is short but sweet, featuring such heavenly concoctions as the Maple Margarita. A gleaming open kitchen offers satisfying bistro-style fare until 10 p.m. during the week, 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
