This dark, elegant, Russian-themed bar entices 30-something suits with comfy club chairs, unpretentious service and a DJ spinning loungy tunes. Portraits of Lenin oversee the crowd, which knocks back a selection of vodka martinis, including the jewel-toned Perestroika, a perfectly balanced blend of vodka, cassis and white cranberry juice. For pure decadence, try the minty After Eight, a blend of Stoli vanilla vodka, crème de menthe and crème de cacao, finished with a spiky rim of white and dark chocolate shavings. The menu offers a broad selection of Russian food. Generously portioned gravlax, herring and smoked mackerel with dark rye bread are perfect for sharing; mainstream fare includes house-made pierogies and beef stroganoff.
