You don’t necessarily need to be a megawatt movie star to mingle at this new addition to the Yorkville strip—a shoo-in as the latest unofficial TIFF hub—but there’s a good chance you’ll see one while you’re there. Part sidewalk café (an Edenic street-level patio seats 80), part Scarface-worthy luxury lair, Mark McEwan’s latest creation is the place to sip and be seen. The front bar area and the spacious dining room are dripping with glamorous detail—walls tiled with mirrored glass and cowhide surround a pièce de résistance chandelier—while the crowd is a mix of local scenemakers, out-of-town A-listers and party girls. Cocktails are as gorgeous as those who imbibe them. The signature One martini combines apple and pear vodkas with fresh pineapple and lime juice, with a dash of cinnamon and clove.
