On a misty night, there’s a dreamy feeling to this convivial neighbourhood joint, where a roster of homegrown folk, reggae, bluegrass and rock musicians takes to the tiny stage. Other highlights: better-than-average bar food, a renovated, trapezoid-shaped main room and a view of an old slaughterhouse. Speaking of which, it feels a bit like an atmospheric hang in New York’s meat-packing district.
