Discreetly nestled on the College Street drag—a blue-and-white awning is the resto-bar’s official sign—this modest establishment attracts a mixed crowd. In the early evenings, it’s filled with 30‑something business types; post-midnight, the 20-somethings join and the vibe loosens up. The decor is unassuming: plaster walls, tea lights and track lighting are as Designer Guys as it gets. The extensive food and booze menu is more impressive; tapas ($6–$11) and seasonal plates are offered between 5 and 11 p.m. The drinks list is strong on martinis ($10–$12), though cognac, champagne and beer are well represented. The back of the bar has a pool table, but if that isn’t your scene, DJs spin Top 40, retro and rock. Tip: it’s difficult to score one of the front patio’s nine tables, so arrive early.
