This is not your typical sports bar. True, games blare from eight TVs, but the brightly lit space is just as popular with couples, debate night competitors, and families as it is with Leafs fans. There are 20 wines by the glass ($6.50–$8), plus eight imported and five domestic beers on tap. The decor emphasizes casual comfort over style: lots of blond wood and thematic paraphernalia (for example, a 1997 Superbowl poster and signed photos of Burt Reynolds, who starred in the eponymous 1974 football movie). In addition to the usual pub fare (wings, burgers, hand-cut fries), there’s a smattering of exotic nibbles, including pork-and-cabbage-filled gyoza ($7.50) and tikka masala ($14).
