This is not your typical sports bar. True, games blare from eight TVs, but the brightly lit space is just as popular with couples and families as it is with Leafs fans. It’s easy to see why. There are 16 wines by the glass ($7–$8), plus eight imported and five domestic beers on tap. The unpretentious decor emphasizes casual comfort over style: lots of blond wood and thematic paraphernalia (for example, a 1997 Superbowl poster and signed photos of Burt Reynolds, who starred in the eponymous 1974 football movie). In addition to the usual pub fare (wings, burgers, homemade fries), there’s a smattering of exotic nibbles, including pork-and-cabbage-filled gyoza ($7) and tikka masala ($13). In summer, a patio fronts Belsize Drive. Closes at midnight on Monday; 1 a.m. Tuesday to Saturday; 11 p.m. on Sunday.
