Though steps away from Yonge and Wellesley, this easygoing resto-bar offers relief from the downtown rush. A secluded kabuki room (seating 12 to 14) in the back belies the space’s former life as a sushi restaurant. Popular concoctions include the potent Absenteeni: absinthe, cherry brandy, and cranberry and pear juices ($12). Hops fans can sample the rotating selection of microbrews available on tap (St. Ambroise Apricot Wheat, Unibroue Blanche de Chambly) and in bottles (St. Ambroise Pale Ale, Mill Street Coffee Porter).
