Any place you have to enter via a back alley gets our vote of approval. A favourite of students and those who believe journal writing is a spectator sport, this venerable drinking den is also a friend to the funkier Annex denizens, who appreciate the unkempt library atmosphere. The bar serves decent food (quite slowly), reasonably priced booze and, judging by the intensity of some regulars, java that gets party-goers jumping.
