Whether you’re dining upstairs or drinking downstairs, the unofficial dress code appears to be open-neck shirts (for the men), à la mode shorts (for the women, no matter what the season) and scrupulous grooming all around. Downstairs, the chiselled barmen are both flirtatious and fastidious; the backdrop is a well-stocked bar. Tropically inclined bevvies include the ShiShi May (Absolut Mandarin, lychee liqueur, pear juice and sake) and a raspberry mojito ($12 each).
