An easygoing neighbourhood spot with an extraordinary martini list. There are nearly 100 varieties, such as the bourbon-infused Drunken Turkey. (A $6 martini special is available every day.) The long, narrow room is decorated simply and pleasantly—brown and beige walls, banquettes and tête-à-tête tables—and the food is uncomplicated and reasonably priced. Front and back patios allow for people-watching. No wonder the place isn’t an it spot—it’s just too normal.
