A cleverly named place in a neighbourhood that sorely needs a decent bar. Desultory flâneurs enjoy tasty, not-too-greasy breakfasts during daylight hours and affordable bottles of 50 when dusk falls. A pool table and a dartboard in the back keep them hanging around for another couple of rounds. But owner Tyler Taverner (of the defunct Cobalt) hasn’t given this former sports bar a proper make-over: a Leafs scarf still adorns the bar, and overly bright lighting could do with a dimmer.
