A stone’s throw from clubland, this tasteful King West resto-bar is cool and laid-back, from the exposed-brick walls to the open kitchen. But it’s most notable for its sophisticated wine list. From the 250-strong menu to the vintage wine posters on the walls, the grape rules the roost. There are 30 to 35 wines available by the three- or five-ounce glass. And, as further proof of its sophistication, Crush offers a world tour of paired wines and foods (a new region is profiled every month). If a table is too formal, sample and savour at the long oak bar. In summertime, the outdoor patio hums with the sounds of clinking glasses and lively conversation. Closes at midnight Monday to Saturday.
