Crooked Star

Located on the Ossington strip between Queen and Dundas, the room is small and functional, dominated by a crescent-shaped bar. The decor leans toward rec room chic: wood panelling, intriguing light fixtures (an illuminated globe hangs over the bar) and dime store knick-knacks. The minuscule kitchen turns out fresh, crisp Tex-Mex dishes. Dig in while watching Coronation Street, broadcast above the bar every Sunday (starting at 1 p.m.), or while soaking in the rays on the small patio. Tuesdays feature Buck-Off Booze ($1 off all beers), while Throwback Thursdays see Labatt 50 and Moosehead priced at $3 each. Creemore, Black Oak Pale Ale, Wellington County Ale and Wellington Trailhead Lager are respectable draft options.
