Done up in alluring red and gold, this ornate resto-bar draws celebs and local hipsters, who cast admiring glances at themselves in the oversized mirrors. Although it’s primarily a Mediterranean restaurant, this Little Italy fixture hosts a well-stocked porto and martini bar. Featuring more than 100 wines and champagnes from around the world ($40–$600 per bottle), it’s a connoisseur’s cellar away from home. The cocktails are as popular as the bubbly and vintages; a list of 15 exotic martinis includes espresso, pomegranate and Sex in the City (raspberry vodka and triple sec with cranberry, lime and champagne). The beer selection has an international feel: draft offerings include pints of Stella Artois and Warsteiner, a German pilsner ($7 each).
