Something of a local music legend, this venerable tavern helped launch the careers of Holly Cole and the Cowboy Junkies. The log-lined main bar is popular with both the university crowd and loyal locals. The menu offers the odd variation on standard burger-and-fries fare, such as fried tofu with soy dipping sauce ($7). Wash it all down with one of the 13 beers on tap, including delectable Blanche de Chambly from Quebec and Belgium’s Leffe Brun. Brunch is served daily.
