Century Room

Removed from the crush of clubland, this high-end drinking den for the 25-and-over crowd transforms a soaring, 100-year-old space (formerly The Mockingbird) into a haute hideaway. The decor is Moulin Rouge meets Miami Beach: mirrors, feathers and fixtures dripping with tassels; low brown leather banquettes; wooden light boxes; and a multitude of VIP booths. Backed by rock, pop, hip hop, R&B and house beats, Bay Streeters, sylphs in stilettos and painstakingly coiffed Ryan Seacrest clones vie for elbow room at one of three glimmering marble-topped bars.
