The Cameron House

A neighbourhood watering hole for almost a century, the Cameron has been the site of many a cultural scene—most notoriously a social hub for the loopy VideoCabaret theatre troupe. Today it’s a tad quieter. A laid-back clientele of waifish bohemians can rest on a tan velvet sofa discussing the beleaguered state of alternative theatre. Bands play on two small stages, and DJs spin on weekends in the front room, where a sign behind the bar proclaims “This Is Paradise.”
