This is the sort of place Thelma and Louise would have visited for a hard drink and a smoke. Wooden floors are well beaten, and walls are lined with hubcaps and black and white photographs of Johnny Cash. The clientele is a gregarious country-loving crew. Bar staff serve up Wild Turkey and Jim Beam to raucous regulars. Tuesday through Saturday nights bring robust crowds and live tunes. The John Borra Band is a favourite, singing tear-in-my-beer songs with such names as “Blues Mama” and “That Look in Your Eyes.”
