This neighbourhood pub is a lively spot, where a north Toronto crowd gathers for doses of live music. It specializes in homegrown food and drink, so you get bison, maple syrup and white beans on the menu, and local microbreweries (Stone Hammer, Denison’s, Black Oak) on the beer list; Quebec is also represented, in the form of St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout. This is also one of the few spots in Toronto where you can find cask-conditioned ales, those classic Brit-style unpasteurized beauties.
