Catering to the leather and denim crowd, the Eagle pulls out all the kinks to lure the bad boys: naked nights and wildly popular Sunday afternoon barbecues, held on the bar’s rear deck. Inside, the black industrial decor, hard-core porn and presence of a sling create a daunting vibe. But this is actually one of the more relaxed spots on the Church strip. (Sometimes too relaxed: the crowd often consists of burly middle-aged guys in beards and leather caps standing around looking at one another, waiting for something to happen.) The drinks are standard issue—mostly bottled beer and draft—but then, the drinks aren’t really the point.
