During the day, overworked, overdressed lawyers frequent the Bedford. Come sundown, a more jovial vibe pervades. Noisy collegiates (more of the MBA than the BA species) congregate around sports broadcasts to order rounds of Steam Whistle and shout at the TVs. Drinkers more interested in high intellect than high scores gather up front or on the 188-seat patio. Three-ounce martinis ($9.80) are the drink of choice, one of 18 beers on tap a close second.
