Ladies and gentlemen of all sexual persuasions have been buzzing ever since edgy queer club promoter Will Munro (and his business partner, Lynn McNeill) set up shop in the neighbourhood, taking over the Beaver Café and giving it a facelift. While it still serves breakfast (until 4 p.m.), it’s now got a bar, a new lunch and dinner menu (heavy on grilled panini), dance-friendly floors and movable tables (to help ease the transition from day to night). Munro offers a DJ every night of the week, lots of rock and electro, dance parties, and local artwork displayed on the walls.
