Bars & ClubsBars

The Beaconsfield

Across from hipster hub The Drake, this cozy corner resto-bar radiates warmth and low-key luxury. A scalloped stone façade—remnants of an old bank building—frames a sleek expanse of glass, good for scoping out the strip. Inside, the glamorous decor harks back to Dorothy Parker’s gin-swilling heyday: scarlet leather banquettes, black walls with gold trim and diamond-drop sconces. On weeknights, turtle-necked creative locals crowd around the steel bar drinking Stella. On weekends, post-dinner drinkers and scenesters toss back French martinis ($12) and dance to vintage soul, reggae, funk, post-punk and hip hop.
