In keeping with the west-end hipster predilection for retro signage, a garish neon logo out front suggests Vietnamese karaoke. Inside, staff and customers are almost indistinguishable (all in their 20s and 30s, all uniformly cool), making this recent arrival as intimate as a student apartment but twice as hip. Guys in appliquéd blazers and chicks channelling Annie Hall sip cocktails, and the DJ steers clear of mainstream standards—think college radio or CBC’s The Signal.
