An always relevant topic, the impact of residential schools is a particularly timely one given the recent establishment of the Canadian government’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Alternately titled The Girl Who Fell to Earth, Melanie J. Murray’s new play follows Josie Pichette, a young woman haunted by the treatment of native people, including members of her family, by the feds.
