An American, an Irishman and an Englishman walk into a…hostage taking in Beirut. Bad bar jokes aside, Frank McGuinness’s Beckettian take on the No Exit conundrum examines the relationship between doctor Adam (Ryan Hollyman), journalist Edward (David Ferry) and academic Michael (R. H. Thomson) over the course of their round-the-clock confinement to a small room where hell, it would seem, is other people re-enacting Wimbledon wins, imitating Queen Elizabeth and singing old show tunes. Tegan Shohet directs.—Stéphanie Verge
