The Mill

Theatrefront’s spooky pioneer epic about a mill town continues with Tara Beagan’s Part Three: The Woods. Directed by Sarah Stanley, it’s set 200 years before the already-performed parts one and two, in a time before the mill, and on Native burial land free of townspeople but nonetheless riddled with the effects of colonization. March 20 to April 3; previews from March 18. Matthew MacFadzean’s Part One: We Are Brody (centred around a young woman who wreaks havoc on the splintering 1850 town) runs March 29 and April 1. Hannah Moscovitch’s Part Two: The Huron Bride (a Huron ghost wants the mill ripped down as restitution) runs March 30 and April 2.—Stéphanie Verge
