To all the bluegrass–gangsta rap–puppetry fans out there who wish their interests would coalesce: your prayers have finally been answered. This clever one-act by B.C. troupe Atomic Vaudeville features all of the above, and a whole lot more. Extradited to Canada after stalking an American pop star, teenage siblings Penny and Ezra Lamb (Celine Stubel and Amitai Marmorstein) return to their high school to recount their unsavoury adventures—as part of the country’s youngest drug cartel—through a contemporary vaudeville routine. Previews from Nov. 14.—Stéphanie Verge
When:
Nov. 20/08 - Dec. 6/08
