Literary fake-outs and the fall of the Berlin Wall are at the heart of Marie Brassard’s new one-woman show, The Invisible. The pairing isn’t that unusual if you consider Brassard’s eclectic body of work. Quebec’s grande dame of provocative theatre—the mastermind behind such successes as Jimmy and Peepshow—crafts pieces that mesmerize with their visual and aural acrobatics, often meant less to be deciphered than experienced.—Stéphanie Verge
