Stop me if you’ve heard this one: a poor little rich girl finds love (and rhythm) in the Catskills during the summer of 1963, with a bad-boy dance teacher. The stage version of the movie that launched 1,000 Patrick Swayze crushes broke theatre box-office records in London. Not to be outdone, Torontonians crashed Mirvish’s phone and Internet systems on the first day of sales in April 2007. James Powell directs Jake Simons, Monica West and Britta Lazenga. Indefinite run.
