Governor General’s Award–winning playwright Colleen Murphy confronts one of the most devastating incidents in Canadian history with this drama about the 1989 massacre at Montreal’s École Polytechnique. Beginning at the end, Murphy looks at the long-lasting fallout for Jean (Jeff Irving), a young man who was in the room with Marc Lépine but was sent away before he opened fire and killed 14 women. Brian Dooley and Nicola Lipman play his parents, Benoît and Kate; Micheline Chevrier directs. Previews from April 7.—Stéphanie Verge
