Buddies launches its new season with the help of Waawaate Fobister, a 23-year-old Ojibwa playwright and performer whose new work was developed through the queer theatre’s youth initiative. Performed by Fobister, Agokwe tells the story of two young native men forced to deal with the fallout after they declare their feelings for each other at a hockey tournament.
