Bono, who has made a second career of being liberal guilt’s global diplomat, recently sang with this 52-member choir as part of a birthday tribute to its patron, Archbishop Desmond Tutu. When not backing leather-clad crooners, the choir focuses on the pure, inspirational power of African gospel music, with endless moments of lift-off for both the spiritual- and the secular-minded.
