This suave local piano man is a pop classicist of the first order, and a natty dresser, to boot. If only he’d been born a few decades earlier, he would have fit in perfectly in Tin Pan Alley. As for now, he’s likely to get a boost by partnering with producer Pierre Mar-chand (Sarah McLachlan, Rufus Wainwright) on his new album.—Jason Anderson
