By combining the epic-scaled rock of Radiohead with the theatrical flair of Queen, this British trio has become one of the oughts’ breakout acts. The band’s fifth studio album, The Resistance (2009), topped the charts in 19 countries, and a spate of opening dates on U2’s current tour seemed to finally secure Muse the loyalty of North American fans. This Air Canada Centre show marks Muse’s arena debut in Toronto, the band having swiftly graduated from the Mod Club and Arrow Hall.—Jason Anderson
