This local Afro-beat music collective is bringing about the city’s latest green trend in the form of off-the-grid concerts. Having played a show in Durham last August that was powered entirely by an on-site wind turbine, the band’s latest experiment in musical environmentalism puts the audience in control. Generating stations will be set up for crowd members to hook their bicycles into; the pedalling should produce just enough energy to power the six-piece band’s instruments, amps, lights and PA system, making this Canada’s first pedal-fuelled concert.—Jameson Berkow
