Levon Helm and John Hiatt

As the sole American in one of Canada’s most revered groups, former Band member Levon Helm has always been unique. And though he just turned 70, this sweet-singing fella from Arkansas shows few signs of slowing down. He’s recorded a series of terrific discs in recent years: both the folk-oriented Dirt Farmer (2007) and the more raucous Electric Dirt (2009) were Grammy winners. A musician and songwriter who’s almost as seasoned, John Hiatt and his band perform a set before returning to join Helm at the end of the show.—Jason Anderson
