Musician Keren Ann defies easy categorization. She’s French, Israeli and Dutch. She runs her own label, composes operas, has written for Roman Polanski’s wife, Emmanuelle Seigner, and straddles pop, jazz, folk and electronica. She’s delicately voiced, but by no means weak—just check out her new album 101, whose cover has her gazing at a gun and which features the single “My Name is Trouble.”
