The New York Times Magazine once called Gregg Gillis “a lawsuit waiting to happen,” but the man more commonly known as Girl Talk is getting the last laugh. By sampling such disparate sources as Nicki Minaj, Jane’s Addiction and Peter Gabriel, the former biomedical engineer has created vigorous mash-ups-turned-party-tunes with outrageously wide appeal.
